Are you a complete BEGINNER in Excel? Or already started but aspiring to INTERMEDIATE level and want to develop your skills further? Short on time? No problem! In this crash course Excel tutorial I cover both levels in just 1 hour!
Learn from the very basics of Excel right through to becoming better than most on spreadsheets!
In just 60 MINUTES, you’ll know more about MS Excel than most of your peers, as I share my secrets from decades of experience and focus your attention on the MAIN tools you’ll ever use. And importantly, how to make your workbooks and spreadsheets look great!
I cut through the noise and focus you on the only Excel tools and techniques you need to know about. Basically, I cut out lots of Microsoft’s confusing junk you need not fill your brain with! Excel skills I cover in this video range from the very beginning to intermediate level techniques…
Create new, save, browse templates, use shapes, navigate the ribbon, formatting, text, data entry, comments, conditional format, find and replace, sum, formulas, functions, autofill, calculations, shortcuts, %, charts, pivot tables, page breaks, PDF, tables, filters, outlines, references, and navigation and viewing to list a few.
I show you in MS Excel 2026, because that’s the latest current version; I’m using my Office 365 subscription for Windows. But the lessons apply through to prior Excel version back to 2013 and will last you to 2030 at least. And these days, Excel for Mac is 95% the same, so your skills learned can easily transfer to Mac too.
Learn More Than Most in 60 Minutes!

It’s taken me days to pull all my decades of MS Excel experience together in this one-stop-shop quick 60-minute course for you, covering everything you need to know from the very basics to more intermediate tools, all explained very easily. You’ll be coming back to this video repeatedly, so I recommend adding to your web favourites.
Starting from the very basics, I explain the main uses of Excel, showing you how to create a new workbook. Then I help you navigate the ribbon and other viewing tools. I use a working example of table of financials and a vinyl record inventory list / database. Taking you through the main features of what you’ll actually use (and what you can ignore!) from the immense ribbon of tools in Excel, this will save masses of time. I highlight common formulas and functions along the way, with a heap of other tips too.
